Who I am and who I see

A little about me: I am a nerdy metalhead who believes in being true to ourselves. I love a good book, a walkabout in nature and a big slice of chocolate cake. My journey to therapy is a unique one however, I am eternally grateful I figured it out because I love what I do. I have my Masters in Social Work and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have experience working alongside kids and families, digging through chronic trauma, behavioral issues and the like. The last few years have consisted of helping teens and adults in crisis, getting them introduced to therapy and working through immediate, more pressing issues. I am a big believer in practicing what you preach and as such, I have utilized therapy for myself to get support when I needed it most.

Who I see: we might work well together if you find yourself needing someone on your team, needing a safe space to speak about fears and feel (mostly!) ready to jump in. For individuals, I help with those who are struggling with their identity (from work to motherhood and in-between), often find themselves in thought spirals and need help navigating life transitions (from trauma to chronic illness). For couples/families, I help those who are have trouble connecting, communicating and supporting each other.

My approach is very laid back. You will often find me showing up to session in a band tee or crew neck with my giant water bottle. I am also a human being and it is important to me that we have real conversations (no blank slate therapist here). Despite being more laid back, I do also believe it is important to be challenged to make change, so you will see a little of bit of both when we meet.
